About Me

I was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and pursued both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Public Administration at the University of Barishal. Over time, my academic interests shifted toward International Relations, leading me to begin a second Master’s in Political Science at the School of Social Science and Global Studies, University of Southern Mississippi (USM), USA.

My interest in research methods began during my undergraduate studies, where I received training in both qualitative and quantitative approaches. This methodological foundation has shaped my academic and professional journey.

After completing my first Master’s, I joined the Department of Development Studies at Daffodil International University (DIU), one of Bangladesh’s leading institutions, as a tenure-track Lecturer. Prior to this faculty role, I worked as a researcher and data analyst at several research organizations, including BRAC James P. Grant School of Public Health (BRAC JPGSPH), the Centre for Advanced Research in Social Sciences (CARS), and BetterStories.

My research has been published in several reputable peer-reviewed journals, such as BMC Public Health (Springer Nature), International Journal of Community Well-Being (Springer Nature), SN Social Sciences (Springer Nature), Society and Culture in South Asia (SAGE), Small Wars & Insurgencies (Taylor & Francis), and Heliyon (Elsevier). Additionally, I have contributed book chapters to the Handbook of Migration, International Relations and Security in Asia (Springer Nature).

I am currently preparing to pursue a PhD in Political Science starting in Fall 2026. My research interests include International Relations, Soft Power, Great Power Competition, Middle Powers, Foreign Policy, Migration and Refugees, and Asian Politics. Methodologically, I am interested in Mixed Methods, Quantitative Text Analysis, Regression Analysis, NLP/ML, Content Analysis, and Thematic Analysis.
